Dr Dave Stone, Principal Dentist of Muse Dental, is a passionate advocate for dental health education, especially among children. Understanding the significance of instilling good habits from a young age.

This month Dr Stone visited Two Rivers Primary School to impart valuable lessons on oral hygiene, nutrition, and the detrimental effects of excessive sugar consumption on dental health.

During his educational talks, Dr Stone engages with the children in an interactive manner, using visual aids and age-appropriate language to convey his messages effectively. He emphasised the importance of daily oral hygiene practices such as brushing and flossing, stressing that these habits are essential for maintaining healthy teeth and gums throughout life.

In addition to discussing dental care routines, Dr Stone addresses the crucial role of nutrition and diet in oral health. He educates children about the impact of sugary foods and drinks on their teeth, highlighting how excessive sugar intake can lead to tooth decay and other dental problems. By promoting awareness of healthier food choices and moderation in sugar consumption, he empowers the children to make informed decisions about their diet and its effects on their dental well-being.

Through his engaging presentations and informative discussions, Dr Stone strives to inspire the next generations in the Keynsham community and beyond to take ownership of their oral health and adopt habits that will benefit them for years to come. By instilling these lessons at an early age, he aims to lay the foundation for a lifetime of healthy smiles among the children.
